Here you will find answers to some of the most commonly asked questions.

Do we have to do laundry? (the big ? Everyone asks)

Yes, we ask that you do laundry since it is a time consuming task and there is a limited amount of time to get the house ready for the next group. While we understand you will not be able to get through all the laundry in most of the homes, doing as much as you can on departure day is helpful. Remember, you are also being charged by the hour for housekeeping services. Hint: At my home, it takes 1.5 hours to wash and dry an average load of laundry.

*Excessive laundry is charged at $35 per load. (meaning a 3 foot high pile)

You may decide that it is easier to bring some of your own linens, (towels) and take them home with you to wash.

Is there Wi-Fi?

The homes that currently offer Wi-Fi are Pat’s Beach House and Alleniare. The local libraries also offer the service using their computers or your own. Each town also has a couple of café/coffee shops that offer internet access as well.

What time is check in/out?

Standard check in is 4 pm, and check out is by 11am, unless other arrangements have been made.

Do you have a nightly minimum?

We do any length of stay between 1-29 nights. Certain homes may not be available for 1 night stays or may be restricted to certain times of the year. Holiday periods require at least 2 nights.

Is firewood provided?

Some of the homes with woodstoves/fireplaces provide wood, some do not. Firewood at these homes is meant for heat, and not for use on the beach. You can buy bundles of firewood for beach fires at the groceries stores, or often along the roadside.

What is provided in the house?

All homes are furnished with fully equipped kitchens, all linens/towels, TV/DVD/VCR, washer/dryer, cleaning supplies. We provide 2 rolls of TP plus one on, 1 roll paper towels, garbage bags, soap for dishwasher, dishes, and laundry. Other amenities vary by the home.

Can you have bonfires on the beach?

Yes, bonfires are allowed on the beach in both Manzanita & Rockaway.

Can you have dogs on the beach?

Yes, both Rockaway & Manzanita allow pets on the beach. Both cities have a “leash law”. Baggies are available in Manzanita to help keep the beaches clean. *Bonus—All of our pet friendly homes also offer this vital item

How far is it from…? (Both towns are roughly same distance, add 15 miles depending what town you are staying in)

From Portland: 2-2 1/2 hours depending on what area you are in

To Seaside: 25-40 minutes

Cannon Beach: 20-30 minutes

Lincoln City: 1-1 1/2 hours

These are estimates only. In the summer season, plan on the longer times for traffic.
